On the afternoon of Friday 1st of June, we had a lovely gathering at Aros to celebrate the end of the pilot year of Tha Seo Math Dhuibh – Good for You.
After a soup and sandwich lunch in the restaurant, about fifty eight of us went through to the auditorium where we enjoyed a matinée performance by Meena Watts, of Meena Arts, and her Bolly Babes.
They treated us to various dances, from Bollywood to Blair Douglas. Many of the dances were familiar to those who had taken part in Meena’s Movement for Health and Dance for Fun sessions over the past year.
It was great to see our friends from Tigh na Drochaid, Alzheimer Scotland, Bùdhmòr House Care-home, Kyleakin Connections, West Highland College, Portree High School and Sense Scotland.
We had the opportunity to join in with the movements and we had a relaxing and rejuvenating cool down at the end.
One or two of us went up on the stage at the end of the afternoon for a dance! Meena had been saying that she wants to have more men to join her Bolly group. Lachie John was keen to join them, and had a fantastic boogie with Meena and some of the Bolly babes.
